
Iona
Iona Millar graduated from University of South Australia in 1996.
After graduation Iona worked in the community health before starting her private practice in 1997 whilst still working in community health in the Northern and Western suburbs of Adelaide. After her first child was born in 1999 she returned to work in the private sector only.
In 2001 Iona spent a short time in private practice in Alice Springs and worked in Central Australia Aboriginal Congress.
Since 2004 to present day Iona has undertaken training in various areas; foot mobilisation and manipulation, dry needling, trigger point therapy, cold laser and podiatric acupuncture to name a few. Iona’s interest in a more “hands-on approach” has given patients at the Northern Foot clinic an increasing scope to address any foot issues they have had/have.
In 2012 Iona returned to study whilst working in private practice and completed a graduate certificate in health science. Enhancing her knowledge in advanced pharmacology for podiatrists and epidemiology.
Iona has an interest in chronic foot pain and using hands on techniques to assist in restoring foot mobility. During her downtime Iona enjoys gardening, walking, strength training and yoga.
Sean
Sean Millar is a Podiatrist with the Northern Foot Clinic with over of 30 years’ experience in the health and nursing fields including the last 25 years as a Podiatrist. Sean was awarded the Most Outstanding Clinical student in his final year of Bachelor of Science Podiatry, Graduating in the top 15% of students in Curtin University (Western Australia). After graduation Sean undertook a position in Fremantle Hospital providing Podiatry care in wound care, amputee clinic, falls clinic, diabetes clinic, and arthritis clinics. During this time, he also commenced his own practice, providing care to the community south of Perth. In 2012 Sean sold his practice and moved his family to South Australia to be close to family. In South Australia he was contracted to provide ongoing care to clients at the Northern Foot Clinic. Throughout his career Sean has spent time mentoring students, providing enriched clinical experiences for the next generation of Podiatrists. Sean is passionate about providing up to date and best practice podiatry care, giving patients the option of treatments such as Low Level Laser Therapy, Acupuncture, Dry Needling, Mobilisation, Manipulation, Radial pressure wave (shockave),Ultrasound and Weight Bearing orthotic therapy. Sean has a special interest in paediatrics and has extensive experience in use of foot ankle orthoses in children with hypermobility and hypotonia.
When not at work Sean likes to spend time gardening, fitness training, and being with his family camping, cooking, fishing and exploring South Australia


Rachel
Rachel graduated from the University of South Australia in 2019. Rachel enjoys being able to create solutions for patients with their lower limb or foot problem. Being able to provide education and treatment options for these patients is a great source of passion for Rachel in her work as she is able to see their conditions improve.
Her favourite clinical aspect of podiatry is in chronic conditions such as arthritis and their effect on the lower limbs. Rachel enjoys creating treatment plans for patients which involve multiple treatment modalities such as mobilisation or dry needling to help improve their condition as fast as possible. Rachel is a very skilled in treating forefoot problems with dry needling as well as orthotic treatments.
Outside of work Rachel is enjoys powerlifting, going to the gym and the competitive nature of sport.
Rachel’s interest in podiatry piqued following a podiatry appointment when she was 12 years old.
(Currently Rachel is on leave as she undertaking a degree in post graduate medicine)
Janice
Janice graduated from the University of South Australia in 2017 with a Bachelor of Podiatry. Janice has since spent time working in the South Australian Riverland where she has developed an interest in the management of the diabetic foot, working closely with local GPs and diabetic educators. Janice joined the Northern Foot Clinic in 2019 and has been a popular with patients and staff alike.
Janice’s is also passionate about the management of musculoskeletal injuries of the lower limb where she utilises her training in both dry needling and orthotic therapy.
She is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English

Farheen
Farheen joined the Northern Foot Clinic in 2025 to advance her professional growth and development. She has a keen interest in biomechanical assessment and intervention, striving to deliver personalised and effective client outcomes. Farheen is also deeply interested in the high-risk foot, recognising its crucial role in a patient’s overall wellbeing. Her empathy and compassion shine through in her patient care, and her dedication to continuous learning makes her a valuable asset to the Northern Foot Clinic. Outside of work, Farheen is an avid gym goer and enjoys strength training. Farheen is fluent in Urdu.
Somaira
Somaira joined the Northern Foot Clinic in 2025, bringing a strong commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional growth. With hands-on experience from diverse clinical placements, she has developed expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, dermatological, pediatric, and high-risk podiatric conditions using evidence-based practices.
She adopts a holistic, patient-centered approach to care, conducting thorough assessments and utilizing clinical reasoning to deliver accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. Fluent in Farsi, Persian, Dari, Hazaragi, Urdu, and Hindi, Somaira is able to connect with and support a diverse patient base. In her free time, Somaira enjoys unwinding at the gym
