Sean Millar is a Podiatrist with the Northern Foot Clinic with over of 25 years’ experience in the health and nursing fields including the last 19 years as a Podiatrist. Sean was awarded the Most Outstanding Clinical student in his final year of Bachelor of Science Podiatry, Graduating in the top 15% of students in Curtin University (Western Australia). After graduation Sean undertook a position in Fremantle Hospital providing Podiatry care in wound care, amputee clinic, falls clinic, diabetes clinic, and arthritis clinics.
During this time, he also commenced his own practice, providing care to the community south of Perth. More recently Sean sold his practice and moved his family to South Australia to close to family. In South Australia he was contracted to provide ongoing care to Defence, Medicare, and Private clients at the Northern Foot Clinic. Throughout his career Sean has spent time mentoring students, providing enriched clinical experiences for the next generation of Podiatrists.
Sean is passionate about providing up to date and best practice podiatry care, giving patients the option of treatments such as Low Level Laser Therapy, Acupuncture, Dry Needling, Mobilisation, Manipulation, Ultrasound and Weight Bearing orthosis therapy. When not at work Sean likes to spend time gardening, fitness training, and being with his family camping, cooking, fishing and exploring South Australia.
Iona graduated from the University of South Australia in 1996. Early career positions were within community health centres around Adelaide. In 1997 Iona commenced private practice to offer a podiatry service to the people of the Northern areas of Adelaide an excellent podiatry experience. 2001 brought Iona to Alice Springs for a brief stint in private practice and Aboriginal Congress.
Since graduation Iona has undertaken training in various areas; foot mobilisation and manipulation, dry needling and podiatric acupuncture to name a few. Iona’s interest in a more “hands-on approach” has given patients at the Northern Foot clinic an increasing scope to address any foot issues they have had. A return to the university of South Australia in 2012 and Iona gained further qualifications with a graduate certificate of health science.
Janice graduated from the University of South Australia in 2017 with a Bachelor of Podiatry. Janice has since spent time working in the South Australian Riverland where she has developed an interest in the management of the diabetic foot, working closely with local GPs and diabetic educators.
Janice’s is also passionate about the management of musculoskeletal injuries of the lower limb where she utilises her training in both dry needling and orthotic therapy.
In early 2019, Janice joined The Northern Foot Clinic and will now continue to provide the best care to people. She is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
